Payment

At Essi.dk you can pay as follows:

Payment will only be charged to your account when the physical item is shipped or the virtual product is created unless otherwise agreed or stated in your order. If you pay via PayPal, you are not protected by the objection scheme. Read more about the terms on PayPal’s website. 

The website uses the following currencies for pricing: Denmark – Kroner (DKK)

Essi uses a secure payment server that encrypts all information with SSL protocol which means your data is secure and cannot be read by other outsiders. Essi’s own website also uses SSL protocol encryption.

Delivery

Delivery takes place within 2-7 business days. Shipments are provided by DAO and PostNord. It may happen that we are lagging behind due to bustle and thus delivery is delayed 2-7 days. In that case, delivery can take 4-12 days.

For delivery outside Denmark, it can take 4-10 business days.

For parcels that are not collected, a fee is charged corresponding to the costs we incurred in receiving the return.

Orders received on weekends or holidays are shipped the subsequently business day.

We currently only deliver to Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Faroe Islands, Greece, Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary and Austria.

Free shipping – conditions

You are entitled to free shipping on purchases of DKK 750 or more (excl. Shipping). Free shipping only applies in Denmark. Free shipping is always sent to DAO parcel shop. It is not possible to select a parcel shop in the menu, but if you would like to have it sent to a specific DAO parcel shop, you can write you wish in the comments field when you get to the checkout.

Right of withdrawal & return

Of course, we want you to be happy with your purchase. The right of withdrawal is valid from the day you received your order.

By accepting the terms and conditions, you acknowledge and accept:

The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day you received your item. If you have ordered several different items in one order, but they are delivered individually, the deadline runs from the day you receive the last item.

The deadline means that you have 14 days from when you receive your purchase to notify us that you will regret your purchase. You can send an email to info@essi.dk. You must provide your name, address, an explanation of the return and other relevant information, e.g. order reference, invoice number and product name in the email.

You can not cancel the purchase by refusing to receive the purchase without notifying us at the same time.

If you make use of your right of return, YOU must pay for the cost of the return shipments and you are responsible for the condition of the product after you have received the product and during the return shipment.

Certain items cannot be returned by regular mail. This applies to: “Posters”. As they are fragile in nature, these should always be sent as parcel post, with insurance.

In the event that the item is returned in impaired condition, which means that we can not sell the product for the original amount, Essi reserves the right to deduct an amount corresponding to the loss of value. The loss of value is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

The product must be returned within 14 days from the date Essi was notified of the return. The product must be sent well packaged, in good condition and in its original box and/or packaging. Depending on the destination, you may incur additional charges for receiving your package. Such taxes include customs and customs duties, VAT / local taxes, etc. The above fees are the sole responsibility of you, even in case of forced return, ie. before the package is delivered to the customer. If you need more information about this, please contact our customer service immediately.

We will refund your money as soon as we have received and verified your return. It takes an average of 7-10 business days (Mon-Fri), from the time your return is sent to it being registered in our warehouse. In addition, it can take up to 5 business days before the money is in your account.

Returning parts of the purchase

If you have purchased several items from us, you have the option of sending one or more items back, even if they were purchased in one order.

Please note that you will not be reimbursed for shipping costs if you regret all or part of your purchase.

No right of withdrawal

Agreements or purchases where the right of withdrawal does not apply:

Special ordering of posters where adaptations have been made to the original design, including posters that have been specially produced, ie. customised posters, birth posters and changes to original designs.

The condition of the item when you send it back

If the item has lost value and it is because you have used it in a different way than what was necessary to determine the item’s nature, properties and the way it works, you can only get part of the purchase amount back. The amount you can get back depends on the commercial value of the item.

We recommend that you carefully unpack the posters from the tube. To determine if the posters were damaged during packing or during shipping. When returning, carefully roll up the posters and return in original packaging (Tube + tissue paper). If the original packaging is missing, it may lead to a decrease in the value of the item.

Refund

If you regret your purchase, you will get your money back. If the item is impaired, we will deduct the amount you are liable for.

We will refund all payments received from you, except delivery costs upon cancellation of purchase.

We will refund the money with the same means of payment that you used for the purchase, unless we have agreed otherwise.

We can withhold payment until we have received the item, unless you send us proof of having returned it.

We only accept packages that are sent directly to the address.

Quality of posters

All our posters are printed on 190g matt satin poster paper. Variations in weight and size may occur. We consider up to 4mm in margin as acceptable.

Durability and maintenance

The posters are intended for hanging indoors at room temperature and must not be hung in direct sunlight. Sunlight damages the print and the posters risk losing their color. Your right of complaint lapses if the posters have been poorly maintained, for example by being exposed to water, heat/cold or direct sunlight. We recommend hanging posters is done using poster frames for the purpose, so the posters best retain their color! Posters that are not mounted tightly in the frame tend to “collapse” or wave over time. When a poster waves in the frame, it is because it is only 1-2 mm thick but there is room in a frame for more, which means that the poster can “collapse”. That is why we always recommend professionally mounted posters in frames. This can be done, for example, at the local printing company, where they insert a foam plate behind the poster inside the frame, this ensures that the poster fits snugly in the frame, and thus avoids it waving or collapsing.

Right of complaint

When you shop with us as a consumer, the rules of the Purchase Act apply to purchases of goods. This means that you have a right to make a complaint for 24 months. (Unless there are clear signs of default).

If your complaint is justified, it means that you can either have the item repaired, exchanged, the money back or a reduction in the price, depending on the specific situation.

You must complain within a “reasonable time” after you have discovered the error. If you complain within two months after the error is discovered, the complaint will always be timely.

If the complaint is justified, we will refund your (reasonable) shipping costs. The item must always be sent back in proper packaging. Also remember to get a receipt for shipping so we can refund your shipping costs.
